Learn to Swim ahead of summer with LiveWire

With summer holidays fast approaching, now is the perfect time for youngsters to enrol in LiveWire’s popular Learn to Swim programme, for ages 4 and up.

The reopening of the refurbished swimming pools at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub has seen an increased capacity for swimming lessons, with availability for immediate starts now at all four of LiveWire’s swimming sites, on a first come, first served basis. The sites are:

  • Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub
  • Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub
  • Woolston Neighbourhood Hub
  • Broomfield’s Leisure Centre

LiveWire has four swimming venues across Warrington, offering a host of swimming sessions; from Ducklings (0-4) and beginners (from 4 years+) through to competitive swimming. LiveWire’s inclusive swimming programme is available to both children and adults who will work through the Swim England nationally recognised swim development framework.

Throughout the swimming programme swimmers will learn water safety, water confidence, swimming techniques and stamina. The programme also allows continuation into advance aquatic sports such as competitive swimming, synchronised swimming, water polo and rookie lifesaving.

James Birdsey, Operations Manager for LiveWire, said: “Previously we have had a waiting list for our swimming lessons, which are very popular thanks to LiveWire’s extremely experienced instructors and great value pricing. However thanks to the reopening of the pools at Great Sankey, we now have an increased capacity for Learn to Swim sessions, so have a limited number of spots available for immediate starts.

“We encourage anyone interested the sessions to get in touch now for more information, while we do have space available on the sessions.”
