Coaching
We run a variety of different coaching programmes for both children and adults which include:
These sessions are the first stage of structured coaching on our junior programmes. Activate sessions are fun and engaging 1-hour groups, following a high quality scheme of work tried and tested over a number of years. Here players will have the opportunity to develop their fundamental skills and athletic movements, as well as gaining a sound understanding of the various shots used to play tennis. All equipment is provided, so why not come down and find your inner Andy Murray with LiveWire today?
Never picked up a racket before? No problem, you will be made to feel right at home with our team of coaches on the adult’s beginner sessions. During these 1-hour weekly sessions we will teach you everything you need to know and get you playing tennis as quickly as possible.
Already play and looking for junior tennis squads of the right level? Then our Aspire and Academy programmes might be the best fit. The programmes are run on an assessment / invitational basis with players usually playing to a specific rating, ranking or club level.
Aspire- If you are already on our Activate programme or playing elsewhere but looking to further develop your game and commit to competing as well as training more than once a week then the Aspire programme may be for you. Sessions cover technical and tactical work incorporating regular match play. Typically, players have an individual coach and train 3+ hrs per week.
Academy- Our 2-hour Academy squads are built to help the best players in the area come together and train on a weekly basis. The sessions consist of Individualised specific training for players at county, regional or national level. These sessions cover technical, tactical and physical areas and are used to support the player’s individual programmes. Typically, players Train 6+ hours per week as a combination of individual and group lessons.
Have you been playing for a while but would like a bit of extra help in finding that winning shot? Then these sessions are for you. Our 1-hour weekly Improver groups ran by members of our coaching team are full of likeminded individuals who tend to play a lot of social and club tennis, but still want to be pushed on to the next level.
Private lessons will give you targeted help on particular areas of your game, helping to develop your strokes as well as tactical, technical, mental and physical aspects of your game. 1 to 1 lessons are for players of all ages and abilities, and can run from 30 mins to 2 hours dependant on ability. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, we can help you improve your game!
