LiveWire Warrington has introduced Mind Movement Menopause sessions at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub. The sessions are designed for women going through different stages of menopause with an approach that targets the entire mind and body, including exercise and health and nutrition advice.

We offer a safe and comfortable environment for women to talk about the challenges of menopause and provide useful guidance to make better-informed health decisions.

HEALTH AND FITNESS FOR MENOPAUSE

Menopause is defined as the final menstrual period. It happens to all women, and symptoms can be debilitating, from night sweats to mood changes, anxiety, hot flashes, weight gain, insomnia, and more that can go on for years.

Our Mind Movement Menopause programme will help women going through menopause by sparking healthy discussions, building relationships with other women, and the opportunity to understand effective ways to navigate changes in their physical and mental wellbeing.

WHO IS MIND MOVEMENT MENOPAUSE FOR?

Our sessions are for all women going through menopause, no matter what stage you’re at (premenopausal or postmenopausal). Even if you aren’t in the premenopausal stage, feel free to come along to learn more in preparation.

Menopause usually starts between the ages of 40 and 58 years, sometimes earlier due to individual reasons. Every woman will experience menopause differently, and the impact on their quality of life will range from mild to severe. However, a healthy diet combined with the right exercise can help manage symptoms and boost overall long-term health.

ABOUT OUR MENOPAUSE SESSIONS

You’ll be welcomed to our sessions with open arms and introduced to other women in the group who are also going through menopause. The programme is six weeks long and is held on Wednesdays from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.

The sessions will include a full workout tailored to heart and bone health, as well as a combination of core and muscle toning exercises. There will also be regular group support chats with specialist guest speakers.
