Westbrook Library is a self-service library and is not regularly staffed by Livewire.

Access to the building and events are organised by volunteers from Westbrook Library Friends CIC.

People’s Network and printing facilities are not available via this site.

Click & Collect Library Book Service

Purpose
The Click & Collect service allows customers to request a selection of library books by genre for collection at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub. This service is designed to provide safe, convenient access to library materials while Woolston Neighbourhood Hub is temporarily closed

Eligibility
  • The service is available to all registered library members subject to staff availability
  • Customers must provide their full name and library card number to verify their membership.
  • Customers can sign up for a library card at any other library branch or online via: Join Our Libraries
  • Please note it will not be possible to join the library during collection slots at Woolston Hub
Requests
  • Requests must be made by genre only. Specific titles cannot be requested via this service.
  • Library staff will select books based on the customer’s requested genres.
  • Staff will ensure, where possible, that selected books have not been previously borrowed by the customer.
  • Customers may request a maximum of 6 books per collection.
Collection Process
  • Customers will be advised of a 1-hour weekly time slot. Books must be collected within the timeframe stated in the notification.
  • Books will be pre issued to the customer’s account before collection.
  • The collection point for books will be in front of the main doors of Woolston Neighbourhood Hub
  • Books which are not collected will be removed from the customers ticket and returned to stock.
Returns
  • Books will be loaned for 6 weeks and should be renewed/returned after this time
  • Books loaned via the click and collect service will not incur fines
  • Books can be returned during the weekly collection time slot or to any other LiveWire Library
  • Books must not be left outside Woolston Hub unattended. Customers will remain liable for any damage or loss incurred if books are left this way.
