Health walks a breath of fresh air for Padgate and Culcheth Libraries
It’s National Walking month and whether you fancy a gentle stroll or an opportunity to give your steps a boost, join Padgate and Culcheth Libraries as they invite local residents to take part in monthly ‘meet-up and explore’ walks in the local area.
The walks take place in the local area of Padgate and Culcheth, and are an opportunity for people to meet like-minded individuals who enjoy fresh air, good company and are keen to improve their physical activity levels.
All walks of life
A qualified Wellbeing Walk leader meets walkers at the selected meeting point and guides them through a pre-planned route. Remember, sturdy footwear, a bottle of water and water-proof clothing is essential for walking.
All walks are designed for a wide range of abilities but they may include muddy and uneven ground or stiles. If you are unsure of the suitability for you of a particular walk, please contact the walks organiser prior to attending.
The walks are free to attend, last around 60 minutes and include refreshments in the library afterwards, so while you’re there, why not join up and pick a book or two.
Rachel Ralston, LiveWire’s Strategic Library Manager, said: “Our health walks are the perfect excuse to get out and about in the local area. The walks are suitable for all abilities and we have a great mix of all ages, so it’s easy to get to know new people. It’s a friendly group and we welcome new faces from all walks of life. Walkers can also join the library and borrow books from thrillers to healthy eating, Minecraft to Marvel, 2021.”
