Job Title: Visitor Service Assistant

Location: Warrington Museum and Art Gallery

Hours: 16 hours per week

13.30 – 16.30 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

11:30 – 14:30 on Saturday and 11:00 -15:00 on Sunday

Salary:  £7,383.00 – £7,892.00 per annum. National Living Wage £8.91 for age 23 and over

Contract type:   Permanent

Based at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery you will be part of our Front of House team helping to ensure the smooth operation of the building for the enjoyment of visitors and the security of the collections.

Committed to customer care, you will contribute towards a rewarding visitor experience by providing general assistance and information to the public and educational groups. You will also provide informal learning such as guided tours and craft activities. You must be motivated and an excellent time keeper.

Following appropriate training the post-holder will also be involved in installing and dismantling exhibitions and moving artefacts which requires confidence, basic technical skills (DIY and AV) and the ability to work at height.

Visitor Service Assistants are responsible for ensuring the security of the main building and related off site facilities, and experience in related employment is essential. Duties will also include occasional working across sites within Warrington Cultural Trust, such as Pyramid and Parr Hall.
