Contract Type: Part time 18 hrs per week, fixed term 12 months

Salary: £8,143.00 pa (National Living Wage for 23 years old and over)

LiveWire is a community interest company based in Warrington.   In partnership with Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will be responsible for delivering an exciting and innovative new library outreach project in Culcheth and Glazebury.

This is a part time, fixed term post (18 hrs week for 12 months, to be reviewed annually).

The job holder will be responsible for planning, promoting, delivering and evaluating a range of traditional and digital sessions to encourage participation in reading related activities.    The aim is to take library services out into the community to reach and engage with new customers and inspire them to become a LiveWire member.

You will need to have the passion, drive and commitment to contribute to fulfilling LiveWire’s health and wellbeing outcomes.  This will be achieved by supporting the personal development of residents and targeted groups in the Culcheth and Glazebury areas; helping them to develop and improve their literacy and learning.

Working alongside the Lead LiveWire Advisor at Culcheth Library and the Community Librarian Team to formulate a programme of activities you will need time management skills with the ability to manage and organise your own workload.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, enjoys working with people and has a good understanding of the role of libraries within the community.   You will need to be adaptable, able to solve problems and come up with innovative solutions; demonstrating a commitment to deliver exceptional customer service and possess good ICT skills.

You must have significant experience of working in libraries or have a background of engaging with individuals, local groups and communities; particularly those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged.

The role will require you to work independently in addition to liaising with co-workers, multi-agency professionals and fostering sustainable partnerships.  The post holder will be required to work flexibly and may include pre-planned weekend and evening cover to meet demand for the programme of activities.
