Contract Type: Permanent part time 20 hours per week

Location: Woolston Neighbourhood Hub

Salary: £11,697 pa

LiveWire’s Library Service aims to transform people’s lives through promoting literacy and a love of reading, helping people develop skills for jobs and independence, improving health and wellbeing and facilitating participation in literary and cultural activities.

As part of the town’s strategy Transforming Warrington’s Public Libraries: Our Strategy for 2019-2022, we have a clear vision of what we want the future library service to look like for our residents. The Reading and Cultural Lead will be instrumental in the delivery of a modern, effective and efficient library service in line with the strategy.

We are looking for people who are passionate about the value of reading and who will lead on the reading and cultural strands of the Library Universal Offers, coordinating and delivering a programme of engagement projects across Warrington’s libraries.

Applicants must have a genuine commitment to equality and diversity. A CILIP recognised qualification – degree or post-graduate qualification or equivalent in Information Studies is desirable, but not essential.
