The Northen Clay Court Champoinships

At the beginning of August Phoebe and Gemma played in The Northen Clay Court Champoinships in the 16 and Under Doubles. They started their tournament off with a good win in the under 16 girl’s doubles event. They defeated the number 1 seed pair in the final! Jemma followed up her doubles success with the under 16 Singles title at the Northern Clay Court Championships! Jemma has now won back to back Grade 3 under 16 singles titles after never having won a grade 3 event before!  We wnated to say a MASSIVE well done to both girls on their success.

Cheshire Junior County Championships 2019

Jemma has also had great success at the County Finals 2019, winning both the under 16 Girls Singles title and the under 16 Girls doubles title. The event was held at Hoole Tennis Club. This is the first time Jemma has won a singles title at the County Finals and it was definately very well deserved!

After recently transferring and coming to represent Cheshire, this was Phoebe’s first County Closed event. She really made a positive impression by winning the under 14 Girls Singles event and on the back of this result has been selected for the under 18 County Training! Well done Phoebe!!

We had another great success with Dan, winning both the under 18 Boys Singles and under 18 Mixed Doubles events at this year’s county closed event. Dan produced some fantastic tennis on the clay which led him to a very convincing singles title and then went onto to show some impressive doubles skills to win the mixed event!

Cheshire Senior County Championships 2019

Our last success story is Jemma, keeping her impressive record going over the summer period, she has also secured the Women’s Doubles title at the Senior County Closed event 2019. Jemma really excels in doubles and is a key part of her club team and it was great to see she can also produce a high level of doubles on the County stage!

WELL DONE to everyone this summer on your achievements!
