Libraries Week celebrations in full swing
This year’s Libraries Week (3rd-9th October) sees LiveWire celebrating hosting a week of fun activities for bookworms of all ages at libraries across Warrington.
With the theme ‘Never Stop Learning’, Warrington libraries will be sharing the very best of what they have to offer with craft groups joining in activities with nurseries, and grandparents taking part in rhymetime, plus coding sessions for adults.
In addition to hands-on events, Woolston Hub is hosting a ‘Life Matters’ session about long Covid on 3rd October. Padgate Library is holding a murder mystery event on 4th October, and Westbrook Library is welcoming Manc-noir author, David Nolan, on 6th October.
Libraries week is all about celebrating the nation’s libraries and showcasing how libraries across all sectors are inspiring learning for all and helping individuals to unlock and fulfil their potential at every stage of life.
Rachel Ralston, LiveWire’s strategic library manager, said: “This year’s activities are all about celebrating the nation’s much-loved libraries and recognising the essential role they play in our communities.
“We have a whole host of events and activities to suit all the family, and look forward to welcoming bookworms, craft lovers and curious minds to our Warrington libraries during this celebratory week.”
