Celebrate Harry Potter Book Night at LiveWire Libraries

Wands Up! Think you know your basiliks from your butterbeer? Your polyjuice potion from your patronuses?

Then you do not want to miss LiveWire’s online quiz on Thursday evening, in honour of Harry Potter Book Night, the annual celebration of all things related to The Boy Who Lived.

LiveWire Libraries is holding an online quiz on Thursday 3rd February at 6.30pm. To get involved email cplatt@livewirewarrington.org before 4pm on Thursday and you will be sent a link to take part.

So don your house scarf, grab your wand and have plenty of pumpkin juice and chocolate frogs on hand to keep you going while you battle other Potterheads for the Tri Wizard Cup (well, not quite, we’re getting carried away now).

But that isn’t all that’s happening at LiveWire’s libraries in honour of Harry and the Hogwarts gang.

Culcheth (3.15pm – 4.15pm), Lymm, Stockton Heath (3.30pm-4.30pm) and Padgate (drop-in all day) libraries are all holding Harry Potter craft events on Thursday, with Woolston (3.30pm-4.30pm) getting involved the day before.

From colouring sheets to quizzes and making your own Hogwarts tie – contact the libraries for more information on what’s taking place and get involved.

A LiveWire spokesperson said: “We never need any excuse to celebrate the wizarding world of Harry Potter here at LiveWire, but Harry Potter Book Night is a wonderful event that lets fans of the Boy Wizard around the world unite and celebrate the magic. We hope families will sign up to take part in our online quiz, or pop along to a library to get involved in some fun arts and crafts and quizzes.”
