Ashley Dyer Comes to Westbrook Library

Crime writer, Margaret Murphy, and forensics expert, Helen Pepper, will examine a crime scene at the library and suggest how they would create a story and solve a crime respectively from the evidence.

Margaret Murphy has recently published her new, critically acclaimed crime novel, ‘Splinter in the Blood’ under the name of Ashley Dyer. Helen Pepper has been a consultant on T.V. programmes such as ‘Vera’ and ‘Shetland’.

The event will take place at Westbrook Library on Wednesday 28 March from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

The crime scene will be set up in the library for the public to view from Friday 23 March. This will give people the chance to work out how the murder might have been committed so theories can be shared on the night. There will also be an opportunity to buy signed copies of Margaret Murphy’s books on the evening.

Wendy Molyneux, Strategic Libraries Manager said: ‘This will be a doubly exciting event as not only are we welcoming a celebrated author, but also a real life crime expert. It’s going to be a fantastic evening.’

Places need to be booked in advance at any LiveWire library. Tickets cost £2.50 and this includes refreshments.
