Job title: Saturday Library Assistant
Location: Birchwood Library
Hours: 3.5 hrs per week
Salary: £1,467 – £1,566 per annum. National Living Wage for age 23 years and over.
Contract type: Fixed term 12 months, part time
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and flexible individual to join our frontline team at Birchwood Library.
Library Assistants support customers with their library and information needs including assisting them in the use of technology; specific duties are the issue and return of library items, handling cash and dealing with enquiries.
In addition, you will be required to sort and shelve books, ensuring that the collection is kept tidy and well-maintained. You will also be required to support and deliver various events and activities within the library setting and as part of our outreach programme.
You will have excellent customer service skills, be a good communicator and have a genuine passion for reading and libraries. As LiveWire is a health and wellbeing company, you will also be expected to have a keen interest in this subject area.
