Hourly rate: Level 2 – £11.44 – £13.00

LiveWire has an exciting opportunity for a motivational individual to become the Assistant Swim Club Coach for our Development Swim Squads. Sessions take place across Broomfields Leisure Centre, Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub and Woolston Neighbourhood Hub.

Livewire deliver the training programme for the Warriors of Warrington Swim Club and this position will support our Head Coach to facilitate and deliver an effective training programme, taking a lead with the pathway between LiveWire’s successful Learn to Swim programme and competitive swimming opportunities as we take part in Swim England’s Club Links pilot programme. This role is a key support to our Head Coach, stepping up to lead training during busy competition periods.

We are looking for a motivational swim coach, with experience coaching in a competitive swim environment.  Experience in other training disciplines such as land work, strength and conditioning and/or sports psychology would be beneficial.

Warriors of Warrington Swimming Club have had recent success at the Olympics with Kathleen Dawson winning gold in Tokyo 2021. As a partnership, both LiveWire and Warriors want to provide a quality training programme which supports other young swimmers to reach their full potential at a competitive level. A successful candidate would be confident and empathetic in their coaching, communicate well with swimmers and their support network and be able to support our swimmers through the challenges of competitive swimming.

With a responsibility in building a strong pathway from Learn to swim through to competitive swimming, strong organisational skills and experience in developing programmes and working with partners would be beneficial.

Applicants must hold a current RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) qualification or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and where possible an up to date safeguarding qualification through Swim England.
