Chris has lived in the Warrington area for over 40 years.  He is now retired and his last position was as Head of National Finance with the Environment Agency, one of the key delivery partners for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Alongside the delivery of corporate finance responsibilities he was a senior executive on the Organisational Change Management Team.  During this period of significant change he introduced a Government led Customer Service Excellence programme for all staff within the Finance Directorate.

Prior to this he had been Chief Accountant for the Environment Agency’s North West Region, based in Warrington. He was with the Agency from its creation and chaired the Finance and Corporate Planning Implementation Group when Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Pollution, the National Rivers Authority and the Waste Regulation Authorities in England and Wales integrated. He started his career with North West Water in Great Sankey and upon privatisation transferred to the National Rivers Authority.

Since retirement, Chris has taken on various voluntary roles that include the Chair of the Governors Board at Oakwood Avenue Community Primary School, Trustee and Education Officer at the Wilfred Owen Association, Vice Chair of the Lancashire Cricket Members Representative Group, member of the Warrington Heritage Group and member of the Westbrook Patient Participation Group.
