Free Poetry Workshop at Warrington Library

The workshop, with leading British poet Clare Shaw, will be on the theme of writing from difficult personal experiences. It is part of ‘A Poem to Remember’ which is a national initiative launched by Prince William encouraging people to write poems of hope over adversity to mark the end of the First World War.

The workshop will take place at Warrington Library on Saturday 17th March from 12.30 – 2.30pm. Places are free, but need to be booked in advance at any LiveWire Library.

Clare Shaw will draw from her own life and her work in mental health services. She will explore how the act of giving words to difficult experiences can enable us to find meaning and comfort, even in our darkest times.
