New tennis programme spaces available at Birchwood Community Hub

Young tennis players in Warrington now have even more opportunities to get involved, as Birchwood Community Hub has opened up new spaces on its junior programme following recognition as an LTA 10&U Performance Programme.

As one of just 34 LTA-recognised 10&U Performance Programmes across the country, Birchwood continues to provide high-quality coaching and development opportunities for young players of all abilities, from complete beginners to aspiring competitors.

Spaces available now

Places are available across the following age groups:

Tots Tennis

For children born between September 2022 and August 2024

  • Monday, 1pm to 1.30pm
  • Tuesday, 4pm to 4.30pm
  • Friday, 4pm to 4.30pm

Blue Stage Tennis

For children born in 2021 and 2022

  • Monday, 4pm to 5pm
  • Wednesday, 4pm to 5pm

Red Stage Tennis

For children born in 2019 and 2020

  • Tuesday, 4.30pm to 5.30pm
  • Friday, 4.30pm to 5.30pm

These sessions are designed to help children build confidence, develop fundamental tennis skills and most importantly, have fun in a supportive environment.

Talent Search Day for aspiring players

Birchwood Tennis is also inviting young players to take part in a special Talent Search Day this September.

The event is aimed at children born in 2019, 2020 and 2021 who are eager to develop their tennis skills and explore opportunities to progress within an LTA-recognised performance programme.

  • Time: 9.30am to 11am
  • Location: Birchwood Community Hub, Warrington

Participants will have the chance to showcase their potential and find out more about the coaching and development pathways available through the programme.
