Open to everyone, regardless of age, gender or knitting experience, the group provides a relaxed and supportive environment where people can come together to knit, chat and enjoy each other’s company. Best of all, it’s completely free to attend.

Whether you’re an experienced knitter or have never picked up a pair of knitting needles before, there’s plenty of support available.

The group has knitting books, equipment and materials to help people get started, along with lots of inspiration, ideas and friendly conversation.

At the heart of the group is Lil, who helps bring people together each week and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for newcomers and regulars alike.

Members are currently busy knitting poppies ahead of Remembrance Day, showcasing not only their creativity but also the strong sense of community that has developed within the group.

The sessions are about much more than knitting. For many members, they provide an opportunity to make friends, combat loneliness and be part of a supportive local community.

As the group continues to grow, members are keen to welcome new faces and share the benefits of spending a couple of hours each week creating, connecting and supporting one another.

If this something you would be interested in, simply drop in, say hello and join the conversation. No booking is required.
