Married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren Mervyn was born in Warrington and has lived in the borough for over 60 years.
Mervyn retired from the Ministry of Justice Audit & Assurance Unit in August 2016 following 44 years working in various public sector organisations in accounts, finance, and internal audit roles.
Always interested in education Mervyn currently chairs the board of Warrington & Vale Royal College. Also interested in sport, particularly running, Mervyn is a member of Warrington Athletic Club and Northern Masters Athletic Club, competing, coaching, and officiating at track and endurance events. Mervyn is also a keen supporter of non-league football.
