LiveWire celebrates 10th anniversary with video created by Warrington-based Ludovico

Happy Anniversary As LiveWire Is 10!

LiveWire, the community interest company, which manages leisure, libraries and lifestyles services on behalf of Warrington Borough Council, has released a specially-commissioned video created to celebrate its 10th anniversary this month.

The video, filmed in March at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub, showcases the wide variety of services and activities provided by LiveWire, and features real LiveWire customers and staff.

It was made by Warrington-based creative organisation Ludovico, who collaborated closely with LiveWire on the video themes and concepts.

The video is part of LiveWire’s 10th anniversary celebrations and features a LiveWire customer – played by local actor Eleanor Curry – reciting a piece of spoken word written by Warrington-based writer Andy Green. The video follows her journey around the Hub, showcasing the variety of LiveWire activities across libraries, lifestyles, sports development and leisure.

Emma Hutchinson, Managing Director of LiveWire, said: “We were thrilled to work with Darren and his team on this video, which we feel is a wonderful testament to the work LiveWire does and perfectly captures the ethos and spirit of LiveWire, its staff and our members. We delighted so many colleagues and customers volunteered to take part and hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as we did working with Ludovico on the production of the video.”

Darren Jeffries, Founder and Creative Director of Ludovico, said: “It was a total joy producing and directing this piece for LiveWire, all their staff were fantastic and incredibly accommodating on the day. LiveWire’s community values align perfectly with Ludovico’s and it was a real treat bringing our teams together to make this happen. And being able to give Warrington talent the chance to shine too made this the perfect collaboration.

Eleanor Curry previously trained at ‘The Actor Class’, one of Ludovico’s adult creative education courses. The video also features a number of background actors who are also current members of ‘The Actor Class’ who wanted to gain experience of working on a film shoot. For more information visit
