Dive into the Pages at Warrington Libraries’ LitFest This June

LiveWire Libraries are pleased to announce a jam-packed exhilarating 2024 LitFest, taking place throughout June.

This festival offers a packed calendar of events catering to all ages and interests, ensuring a summer filled with literature, learning, and community spirit across all local libraries.

Week 1 (1st – 7th): Kick off the festival with a week dedicated to children. Enjoy a variety of storytimes and fun crafts at all library branches, including a special visit from the firefighters at the Great Sankey Hub, promising an engaging experience for our young readers.

Week 2 (8th – 15th): The second week focuses on Culture & Inclusivity. Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Warrington with activities that celebrate Pride, offer sign language workshops, ballet explorations, and a chance to experience traditions from diverse local communities.

Week 3 (16th – 22nd): Discover local literary talent during our Local Authors week. The highlight is the Warrington Central ‘Local Author’ day, alongside various author talks scheduled throughout the week, providing unique insights into the creative processes of Warrington’s own writers.

Week 4 (23rd – 30th): The festival concludes with Crime Reading Month, a tribute to a genre that captivates Warrington readers. Don’t miss the gripping crime-themed exhibitions, insightful author discussions, and an intriguing murder mystery event.
