Delve into the World of Mystery with Crime Reading Month this June

LiveWire Libraries Celebrates Crime Reading Month With Free Events Across Warrington

Join us as we celebrate one of our favourite genres during Crime Reading Month this June! We’ve planned a month-long series of exciting events, featuring local celebrity crime writer Martin Edwards. He will be curating an exhibition across all our sites and organising a quiz with a signed book as the prize.

Introducing our Thursday Crime Club, with an incredible lineup of events:

  • June 8th, 7 pm at Woolston Library: Crime author Sarah Ward takes you behind the scenes of her new book, The Birthday Girl, followed by a Q&A session.
  • June 15th, 7 pm at Stockton Heath Library: Local authors Mandy Byatt and Ruby Speechley discuss their experiences as published crime writers.
  • June 22nd, 2 pm at Warrington Central: David Nolan, ‘The King of Manc Noir,’ shares insights into his journalism and crime writing career.
  • June 29th, 7 pm at Burtonwood Library: Back by popular demand; another in our popular series of thrilling murder mysteries.

All events are free, but donations are welcome to help us continue providing enriching experiences in the future. To reserve tickets, email libteam@livewirewarrington.org or contact your local library for more information. Don’t miss out on this captivating month of crime and intrigue!
