My career up until now has been mainly in education. For the past 20 years I have taught in secondary schools in the UK and overseas. A large part of my career has involved working with vulnerable people and helping support them and their families, is something I have found extremely rewarding. I am an avid researcher and love to learn new things and find new ways of helping people.
Throughout my professional career I have had a big interest in NLP and behavioural science theories. I am a big advocate in the power of positive thought and language.
When I am not working I am usually spending time with my 3 grandchildren, Thomas, Mollie and Oliver. The hard work of looking after 3 toddlers reminds me that I am not I am not as young as I used to be and keeps me young at the same time as its essential to know the latest toy or cartoon character. When I do get time to myself I am an adventurous soul who loves travelling and exploring new places. I enjoy spending time outdoors and have spent many a holiday camping and fishing across the UK.
I am looking forward to working with South Warrington PCN in my role as their Social Prescriber. I believe working together in partnership with myself and multiple support agencies with definitely improve the health and well beings of all the residents in South Warrington and I am excited to be a part of the initiative.
