We Roar exhibition comes to Warrington Central Library
Launch Event: Saturday 4 October, 11:00 AM
LiveWire Libraries is proud to announce that Warrington Central Library will host the powerful and thought-provoking exhibition We Roar throughout the month of October 2025.
This inspiring collection of prison poetry and artwork from both the UK and US is touring libraries and museums nationwide until 2026.
We Roar brings together creative expressions from individuals within the prison system, offering a rare and moving insight into their lives, thoughts, and hopes. Through poetry and visual art, the exhibition explores themes of identity, resilience, and transformation, aiming to challenge perceptions and spark meaningful conversations.
To celebrate the arrival of the exhibition in Warrington, a launch event will take place on Saturday 4 October at 11am. Artist Faye Claridge, who curated the exhibition, will deliver a short introductory talk and guide attendees through selected works on display. The event is informal, and visitors are welcome to stay for as long or as little as they wish.
Deputy Leader and cabinet member for communities, culture and leisure, Cllr Jean Flaherty, said:
โWeโre delighted to welcome We Roar to Warrington Library as part of its national tour. This powerful exhibition offers a unique opportunity for our community to engage with voices and stories that are often unheard. Libraries are places of learning, reflection and connection, and hosting We Roar reinforces their role in bringing thought-provoking and inspiring experiences to the heart of our towns.โ
