Volunteering opportunities with LiveWire

LiveWire is pleased to offer a variety of volunteering opportunities whatever your interest or availability.  For those who are primarily interested in books and learning we can offer roles as a Library Activities and Events Buddy. If leisure and lifestyles is your thing then a variety of roles are available with opportunities as Active LiveWire Volunteers and Health Walk Leaders.
And of course, we always put our customers first so have opportunities for friendly, outgoing people to undertake some Mystery Shopping.

Are you friendly and welcoming?  Are you interested in meeting members of the public and telling them all about the fantastic things that LiveWire offers?  If so, then you might like to be an Active LiveWire Volunteer and help plan and deliver the smooth and safe running of events and activities either within LiveWire sites or out in the community. Community and Wellbeing Mentors play an active part in promoting leisure, libraries and lifestyles within LiveWire venues and at community and wellbeing events across the town.  Supporting health programmes, Community and Wellbeing Ambassadors will also use their own experiences to encourage and motivate others. Health Walk Leaders welcome walkers to the walk and make sure that registration forms are completed.  They lead and manage walks by following a designated route, usually in conjunction with other walk leaders making sure they are enjoyable and safe. There are also opportunities to gain a recognised Volunteer Walk Leader qualification. For more information please contact Neil Morley.

Culture Warrington and LiveWire are looking for Customer Service Greeter volunteers to assist with greeting customers on arrival at Warrington Museum and Central Library.

Volunteer role - Assist with providing a warm welcome by greeting customers on arrival.  Offering guidance and advice to ensure users enjoy their visit and assist in recording any feedback.

Time commitment - Flexible

Volunteer duties

  • Act as a first point of contact by greeting users to the venue and signposting them as necessary
  • Respond to queries, briefly explain services available and direct more intricate enquiries to a staff member
  • Assist in conducting tours of the venue and give directions to help customers find the location of the room or activity they are attending
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, tidy and safe reception area
  • Provide information to members of the public about events and activities across Culture Warrington and  LiveWire’s  venues
  • Capture feedback from customers using the venues to assist in providing a quality customer experience
