LiveWire Liverpool are seeking to appointment a Social Prescriber Link Worker.

We are looking for an energetic individual who has the ability to engage with a wide range of individuals, supporting them to embark on lifestyle changes that make a difference to their wellbeing. The successful candidate will work in partnership with GP practices, patients and other partners across central Liverpool.

Actively engaging with the local community, you will be required to have extensive knowledge of facilities and activities within the local area as referral options for patients.

Identifying any gaps in delivery, you will be expected to support local community groups in accessing funding opportunities to establish new groups.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing programme of social prescribing across the city.

Location: HMP Risley, Prison Library

Hours: 16 per week

Contract type: fixed term until 31st December 2020

Salary: £8.04 - £8.58 per hour (aged 25 or over National Living Wage will apply)

Work within a prison library is challenging yet very rewarding. An opportunity has arisen for someone to join the team at HM Risley Prison Library as a part time Library Assistant. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to offenders by helping to change their lives for the better.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the value of reading and who will encourage and support informal learning.

You must have a genuine commitment to equality and diversity and although previous experience of working in a library or prison environment is desirable.  Full training will be given.

This is a 16 hour job with hours to be worked Monday to Friday. We are flexible regarding the pattern of hours and will discuss this with candidates at interview.
