National Fitness Day 2019

National Fitness Day, held on Wednesday 25th September, is an annual event that celebrates the fun of fitness and physical activity. While highlighting the benefits that leading an active lifestyle can have on our overall health.

LiveWire marked the day by getting out and about with Jet and personal trainers Jane Banks and Michael Bannister, who showed people a few simple exercise moves they can do at home – ‘jumping jets’, ‘robo squats’ and ‘star jumps’.

The team dropped into popular Warrington locations including Orford, Woolston and Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hubs as well Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington Museum & Library and the Town Hall – where Warrington Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Tony Higgins learnt a few keep fit moves.

While out and about Jet gave away free day passes to LiveWire’s leisure sites as well as running a prize draw to win a free 6-month LiveWire membership for everyone who took part in his workout!

Jet also attended St Peter’s RC Primary School in Woolston to encourage pupils to stay active where Jane led a fantastic assembly for pupils and teachers.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make National Fitness Day such a fun, successful day.
