Macmillan coffee mornings raise almost £2,000 for cancer support

LiveWire customers, members and staff came together across Warrington last week to support Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising an incredible £1,809.29 through the sale of delicious cakes, sweet treats and generous donations.

The fundraising events took place at Birchwood, Orford Jubilee and Great Sankey, with each site playing its part in helping people living with cancer receive the support they need.

Birchwood Community Hub – 22 September

Visitors at Birchwood enjoyed a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of homemade bakes on offer and lots of support shown throughout the event.

The coffee morning gave people the opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new faces and enjoy a cuppa, all while raising money for an important cause.

Orford Jubilee – 23 September

Orford welcomed a fantastic turnout throughout the morning, with customers, members and staff enjoying a wide variety of delicious cakes and sweet treats.

The centre was buzzing with conversation as people came together over a brew to support Macmillan’s vital work.

A special thank you goes to Rebecca, whose hard work and dedication helped make the event such a success.

Great Sankey – 25 September

Great Sankey’s coffee morning was another fantastic community event, bringing people together to enjoy a tempting selection of cakes, sweet treats and refreshments in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Alongside the delicious bakes, visitors also had the chance to take part in a raffle featuring some fantastic prizes, including a personalised pet portrait, drinks hampers and the star prize, a waffle maker.

The raffle proved hugely popular and helped add to the fun and excitement of the day.

The generosity shown by everyone who attended created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with the community coming together to support an important cause while enjoying great company, plenty of cake and a few chances to win.
