LiveWire cheers on Olympic hopefuls supported by its programmes
Olympic Hopefuls go for Gold in Tokyo
LiveWire is cheering on two athletes it has helped support on their path to the Olympics as they go for Gold in Tokyo.
GB Rower Lucy Glover is a member of the Women’s Quad Sculls and was a member of LiveWire’s Talented Athlete Programme that supports promising athletes and helps them achieve their potential by giving free access to its facilities so they can train.
Lucy’s Dad Alec said: “The support from Livewire and affording her access to the facilities has helped her gain this major milestone in her rowing career. So it’s a sincere thankyou from Team Glover.”
GB Swimmer Kathleen Dawson will be competing in the Backstroke and learnt to swim on LiveWire’s Learn 2 Swim scheme as well as in the Warriors elite swim squads programme delivered by LiveWire.
Kathleen’s mum Sarah said: “The Learn 2 Swim programme provided the first step on the ladder for Kathleen to compete in the 100 metres backstroke at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.’’
Everyone at LiveWire wishes Lucy and Kathleen the very best of luck and will be cheering you on!
