Libraries Working Group meeting – Wednesday 19 July 2017

The meeting started with a behind-the-scenes tour of Warrington Central Library and Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, with staff from LiveWire, Culture Warrington and Warrington Borough Council discussing their aspirations for the Heritage Hub development.
The meeting had quite a lengthy agenda with a number of reports for the group to review.
The group received an update on the process so far and what had been discussed at previous meetings. They also received reports on the Collection HQ system and the libraries’ stock policy.
Members of the working group also presented reports around equality impact assessments, including the Warrington Library Service Needs Assessment July 2017.
The Libraries Working Group Communications Strategy was tabled at the meeting along with the Warrington Libraries Strategy 2017-2022.
The group were also given an overview of LiveWire’s procurement procedure and outreach plan for the next year.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday 6 September at 2pm and is scheduled to take place at Penketh Library.
