Information regarding Burtonwood Library and Post Office

As per current Government guidelines in relation to the ongoing outbreak of Covid-19, Burtonwood Library is currently closed.

Regarding the Post Office located within the Burtonwood library, we have taken guidance from the National Federation of Sub Post Masters who advise that any Post Office located within another building – such as the one in Burtonwood Library – should not be open and should remain closed until further notice, in accordance with the wider Government guidelines aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19.

LiveWire is working with our partners Warrington Borough Council to identify other options to support Post Office customers to access specific financial services during this closure period.

We understand the importance of the Post Office to the Burtonwood community, which is why we worked so hard to retain and relocate it to the library in 2018. We will be monitoring the official guidance re Covid-19 and will reopen the Post Office as soon as we are advised it is safe to do so by the relevant authorities.
