Important Membership Update 01.09.20
We have taken a phased approach to our reopening plans, for the safety of customers and staff. If you have returned you will have seen the enhanced cleaning regimes and social distancing measures in place, which have allowed us to retain almost all of our gym equipment, and to restart a wide variety of classes and other popular forms of exercise.
We have listened to feedback and adjusted our programme accordingly where possible along the way – for example increasing gym slots to 90mins, introducing Family Lane Swims for more competent younger swimmers, and with the addition of more classes to our Group Fitness Timetable.
We are pleased to announce that our indoor tennis programme will re-commence in September at Birchwood Leisure & Tennis Complex. In line with this, we will also be re-opening for gym and class sessions at our Birchwood leisure site during evenings and weekends from Monday 14th September – full details to follow.
It is our plan to re-open our further sites; Broomfields Leisure Centre and Culcheth Community Campus from November.

As a Community Interest Company that continually reinvests revenue back into the services we provide for the benefit of local people, we would like to say thank you to all our customers for their support since we reopened and for the overwhelmingly positive feedback we have received about the measures we have put in place to keep everyone safe.
Our initial approach was to keep all memberships suspended by default – with members having to contact us to reactivate their membership.
Now, with a large range of activities on offer across the Borough, all LiveWire Select memberships will be reactivated from Tuesday 15th September – with the first payment collected on the usual Direct Debit date following this.
However we do recognise that some of our members still may not feel ready to return, or be able to. As such you can opt to keep your membership suspended by completing https://www.debitfinance.co.uk/payments/login.php. Please note you will need your DFC reference number to do this, which has been sent out to all members via email and text message.
For Annual payers, memberships will also be unfrozen from this date, with the applicable extra months added on at the end of your term to reflect the period of closure. Any Annual members wishing to remain on suspend should NOT follow the instruction for Direct Debit members, but instead email this instruction through to leisure@livewirewarrington.org
Note: If you have contacted us within the last few days to unsuspend your membership then please ignore this instruction.
Covid-19 has had a significant impact on our business and we are doing all we can to build back up our programmes as fast as we can, in line with member demand and with a firm focus on maintaining a safe and clean environment to exercise in. As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company we need your help to do this and your support and membership fees will help us rebuild this programme at a faster rate. We are a supporter of the industry-wide #SaveLeisure campaign that is aiming to raise awareness of the threat that Covid-19 has posed to community leisure organisations like LiveWire, which is a real and pressing concern.
