Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub Pool Update

Warrington Borough Council have today issued the following statement “The Council has very recently been made aware of a potential design issue in relation to the swimming pool at the Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub. We are in regular contact with the contractor, BAM, to understand more about what changes, if any, are going to be required and what implications this may have on the opening date for the swimming pool.

“While there will undoubtedly be a delay in the pool’s opening, Warrington Borough Council is insistent on having the project delivered to highest standards. It is therefore right that a review of the design is undertaken quickly. Once we have further information regarding the revised pool opening dates, we will provide a full update.”

LiveWire are extremely keen to get the facility open as soon as possible but recognise the need to ensure that the facilities are fit for purpose before they are handed over. Once further information is available we will advise all customers accordingly.
