Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub customers should be aware of forthcoming roadworks that will affect road access to the site in the next few weeks.

The work is part of the Lingley Green Avenue/ Omega Boulevard junction improvements, and the Lingley Green Avenue resurfacing works. 

From Tuesday 6th April to Friday 9th April – Lingley Green Avenue will be closed to Eastbound traffic from the roundabout at Lingley Mere Business Park (United Utilities) to its junction with Omega Boulevard – a signed diversion route will be provided throughout the works via Lingley Green Avenue, Liverpool Road, Whittle Avenue and Lingley Green Avenue.

Vehicles exiting the Great Sankey Hub junction will be required to turn left on to Lingley Green Avenue and follow the above diversion.

In addition, from Monday 12th April to Friday 16th April – Lingley Green Avenue will be closed to Westbound traffic from its junction with Omega Boulevard to the roundabout at Lingley Mere Business Park (United Utilities) – the associated diversion route is via Lingley Green Avenue, Whittle Avenue, Liverpool Road and Lingley Green Avenue

Vehicles exiting the Great Sankey Hub junction will be required to turn right on to Lingley Green Avenue and follow the above diversion.

Note: On Thursday 15th April – carriageway resurfacing of the access across Great Sankey Hub will be undertaken between the hours of 17:00pm to 23:00pm

Access to Great Sankey Hub will be maintained during these hours, this will be under the control of the contractor on site and will be managed by traffic management operatives where required to assist drivers.
