COOKING WITH LOIS – Pitta Pizzas

This week we’re making Pitta Pizzas! 

 

Ingredients 

Whole meal pittas

tomato purée

oregano/mixed herbs

mature cheese

selection of veg

cooked meat

Veg options– onion, sweet corn, peppers, mushroom, pineapple, tomato, olives.

Cooked meats- ham, tuna, flavoured chicken, pepperoni

 

Method:

  1. Lightly toast one side of the pitta bread under the grill
  2. Finely chop veg and grate some cheese
  3. On the untoasted side of the pitta bread, spread the tomato purée so all parts are covered.
  4. Sprinkle some oregano on top and grated cheese.
  5. Add your veg and meat on top. 
  6. Place under the grill until hot and bubbling
