Warrington Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for leisure and community, Cllr Tony Higgins, said: “The reopening of Broomfields Leisure Centre is great news for the local community. A huge amount of work has gone into creating a safe environment for visitors and staff, and I’m looking forward to activities beginning to take place at the venue once more.
“We know how important our leisure centres are to the health and wellbeing of local people, and that’s why we’ve been making every effort to reopen them all – but only when this can be done safely.
“We believe the safety measures put in place at Broomfields – including contactless check-ins, a one-way system and careful distribution of equipment to support social distancing – will help keep everyone as safe as possible.”
