Broomfields Leisure Centre – Fitness Suite Update – 22.07.22

Contractors have visited site today to inspect the area of ceiling affected in the fitness suite. Following the visit they have confirmed that a full survey of the suspended ceiling is required and this has been scheduled for next week. Once the survey has been completed the necessary remedial work will be carried out at the earliest opportunity. To enable these works to be carried out the fitness suite will remain closed until at least the 1st August 2022.
In line with our previous message, this will impact on some of the main centre opening hours, working around the wider site programme. We therefore advise that all customers/members check our website for pool programme and group exercise class details, and ideally pre-book your place before visiting.
Note that all programmed swimming, group exercise classes, sports hall bookings, and outdoor activities on the 3G all-weather pitch will run as normal unless you are contacted by us and informed otherwise. The Superstars school holiday programme will also be operating as planned.
