Broomfields Leisure Centre – Fitness Suite Update – 21.07.22
On Tuesday this week a leak was discovered in the fitness suite at Broomfields Leisure Centre which has caused damage to the ceiling. In the interests of health & safety this area has been closed to our customers whilst the matter is being investigated. Since discovery of this issue we have been working in partnership with Warrington Borough Council and the appropriate third parties to identity both the cause of the issue, and the extent of the damage.
It has now been identified that a specialist contractor needs to attend site, and the earliest possible date for this visit is Friday (22.07.22). In the meantime, the fitness suite will remain closed. For this reason, and combined with a reduced pool programme already in place due to staffing shortages, this now means that the main centre opening hours will be amended during this period. We therefore advise that all customers check our website for pool programme details, and ideally pre-book your place before visiting.
Note that all group exercise classes, sports hall bookings, and outdoor activities on the 3G all-weather pitch will run as normal.
We apologise for the disruption that this may cause and we appreciate your patience and understanding – please rest assured that we are doing everything we can in order to resolve this matter. We will continue to provide updates as soon as we have them and we advise all customers to check our social media feeds for updates before visiting for use of the fitness suite.
Yours in Health,
