In partnership with Warrington Borough Council, we have been liaising with various contractors in order to understand the extent of the work required. The assessment report has now been received concluding that localised repairs to the fitness suite suspended ceiling will not suffice and that a full replacement is required.
Working with the Warrington Borough Council, we have been investigating the full implications to gain a better understanding, including the costs and timelines for both the suspended ceiling replacement and the mechanical and electrical work required in association with the suspended ceiling system.
We have now agreed to the remedial work, concluded what needs to be done and the overall costs have been mapped out. However, we are still, unfortunately, unable to provide any concrete timelines. As soon as we can be clearer on the anticipated re-opening date for the fitness suite, we will communicate further updates.
In line with our previous messages, this will impact some of the main centre opening hours, working around the wider site programme. Therefore, we advise that all customers/members check our website for the pool programme and group exercise class details, and ideally pre-book your place before visiting.
Note that all programmed swimming, group exercise classes, sports hall bookings, and outdoor activities on the 3G all-weather pitch will run as normal unless you are contacted by us and informed otherwise. The Superstars school holiday programme will also be operating as planned.

We sincerely apologise for the disruption that this is causing, but the health and safety of our members are of the utmost importance. We continue to advise you to check our social media channels before visiting the fitness suite.
