Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Complex look forward to welcoming the Warrington School’s Tennis Roadshow

LiveWire Warrington’s Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Complex are delighted to welcome the Warrington School’s Tennis Roadshow on the week beginning 12th February with 3 follow on Open Days on the 17-18 of February.

The Warrington Tennis Roadshow is ran in conjunction with the Lawn Tennis Association and Tennis Foundation, and will see the centres coaching staff present in 10 Warrington schools during the week leading up to up to the Open Weekend on the 17th and 18th of February at Birchwood Leisure and Tennis complex.

The Warrington Tennis Roadshow and Open Weekend are designed to break down barriers when it comes to participating in Tennis. The Roadshow will show young people and their families that tennis is for everyone no matter what age or ability levels they have.

The Open Weekend sessions are on Saturday February 17 between 11:00-12:30 and 2:00-3:30, and on Sunday February 18 at 11:00-12:30 and will include tennis skills, games, rallies and other tennis related activities. All activities are indoors with equipment being provided. The event is free of charge and is open to all children between the ages of 3-10.

One of LiveWire Warrington’s organisers for the event Alexandra Day commented on the Warrington Tennis Roadshow event.

“The Warrington Tennis Roadshow event is a great event for all of the Warrington community to come and get involved in.

The event is centred on Tennis but is full of activities that will keep any child entertained whether they have held a racket previously or not.

We’re delighted to be continuing to work alongside the Lawn Tennis Association and Tennis Foundation and we will continually strive to bring events to the community that can help participation for Tennis in Warrington.”
