366 Days of Kindness Tour visits Padgate Library
Tuesday evening saw Padgate Library welcome storyteller and author Bernadette Russell as part of her 366 Days of Kindness tour funded by INN CROWD.
In response to the UK riots in August 2011, Bernadette embarked on a reckless mission to be kind to a stranger every single day for a year – and an extra day to cover a leap year!
Her show, part stand up, part storytelling, charts this amazing year, which began with burning buildings, and ended with the flame of the Olympic torch. From approaching strangers and giving them sweets or flowers to hiding money in bookshops and phone booths, Bernadette tried to think of a new thing every day and her comical storytelling style kept the audience on Tuesday enthralled in her journey.
There was laughter, tears and a birthday celebration as the audience thoroughly engaged in Bernadette’s antics in the hope of being awarded the winning £100,000 scratch card!
