What is #FTW?
Family Time Weekends is a new 12 week pilot programme at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub and Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub. The programme offers a variety of activities for all the family to get involved in, all under one roof and all for one price (or FREE for LiveWire members*).
There is a timetable of activities that will be available each week. There will also be a different ‘special’ activity ran by Activate Fun each week - the list of special activities can be found on our timetable.
Whether you choose to participate in one activity, or try them all - the choice is yours! Our programme is designed to enable you to create your own schedule for your day.

How much does it cost?
#FTW is free for LiveWire members. This includes Select fitness, swim, tennis and gymnastics memberships.
Non-member prices are as follows:
- £5.50 1 adult + 1 child
- £4.20 Additional adult
- £2.10 Additional child
- 55p for children under the age of 4
I am a member, does this mean my children can come for free?
If your child is not a LiveWire member, you will then be required to pay the additional child cost.
If your children participate in swimming lessons or have a gymnastics, tennis or fitness membership, they will then get this for free.
What is included in the cost?
The cost includes access to all the activities listed on the timetable for this day, including the special activity.
Do you need to book on to the activities?
Booking is advised for the special activity as number restrictions apply. All other activities are available on a drop in basis during the times stated.
When and where does the programme take place?
#FTW runs on Saturday afternoon from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub and on Sunday mornings from 9.00am to 12.00pm at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
Do you have to stay for the full 3 hours?
No. Our programme is designed to enable you to create your own schedule for the day. We have a mixture of scheduled and drop in sessions, so you can plan a day that works best for you!
Do you have to participate in all activities?
No. You can choose to choose 1 activity or you can choose to try them all. The choice is yours.
What is the supervision policy?
The programme is very much about families participating in physical activity together. It is expected that adults will participate in the weekly special activity along with children.
Children must be accompanied by an adult in all activities. The ratio is 1 adult to a maximum of 2 children for all activities.
The adult should maintain a constant watch over the children for whom they are responsible.
LiveWire’s normal swimming pool supervision policies apply.
Are there any age restrictions?
There are some age restrictions for specific activities:
- Soft play is for children aged 5 years and below
- The minimum age for the weekly special activity will be dependent on the planned activity that week. Please enquire with site for more information
- Children must be ages 11 and over to pariticpate in the Parent and Child Virtual Body Combat and Sh'bam classes at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub
Is food available?
Food is not included in the cost, however vending facilities are available at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub and Subway is located in Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub for those wanting to purchase food.
What if I only want to do one activity?
If people want to participate in the library activities ONLY, they can do so free of charge. However, all other activities are chargeable and the appropriate amount must be paid.
e.g. if a parent wants to pay for their 3 year old child to have a go in the soft play area they would pay the 55p amount.
If a parent and their child wanted to participate in the special activity they would have to pay the £5.50 charge.
