Incredible Weight Loss - Alison

Alison lost 9.5 stone.  She started her journey on the Reach For Health scheme supported by the Lifestyles team at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub.

“12 months ago I was 19.5 stone. I have now lost 8.5 stone and dropped 10 dress sizes. At the beginning I was scared people would judge me. I thought to myself even if they do at least I know I am doing something about my problem.  My focus now is to keep the weight off, continue enjoying the gym and maintain my new found motivation in life.”

“I was struggling as to why I couldn’t lose weight so in January 2013 I started the gym, which was the best thing I could do. It has not only helped me keep fit, but also helped me de-stress. I was told by a friend to contact the LiveWire weight group. I was a bit sceptical at first as to whether it was going to help, but I went along. It is honestly the best group I have ever had the pleasure to be part of.  Just by making small but significant changes in my life the weight is coming off at a steady rate.  I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make changes to their life. This is not a diet club this is a support group that makes you look at your relationship with food, something I reckon most people don’t do.”

Weight Management Drop In Timetable

These are drop in sessions, just turn up during the session times, no need to book. Weight Management sessions are for individuals with a BMI of 28+.
