If your family is local to the Warrington area the search room in Warrington Library has original resources that will help with your research including:

  • Local newspapers on microfilm
  • Census returns on microfilm
  • Local trade directories

We have microfilm & microfiche readers and reader printers available for you to use. These can be booked in advance.

In addition we provide free access to Ancestry Library Edition websites in all LiveWire libraries

Interested in tracing your family tree but don’t know where to begin or perhaps you have already started but could do with some help?

Come along to one of our Family History helpdesks where our friendly and knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to help you put the next leaf on your family tree.

Westbrook Library on Monday mornings 10.30am - 12 noon once a fortnight (check with the library for dates)

Orford Park Library on Friday mornings 10 am – 12 noon (Booking Essential, 01925 572504)
