'Live well with LiveWire'

In line with Government guidance associated with Tier 2, we reopened our Hub sites for gym sessions and group exercise classes on Wednesday 2nd December 2020 as we commenced the re-opening of our leisure facilities.

As Warrington will be placed into Tier 3 from Boxing Day – Saturday 26th December 2020 – then in line with government guidance for Tier 3, LiveWire’s gyms and pools will remain open during this time and will be bookable as normal. However the new restrictions means that with regret, Group Fitness classes are suspended whilst the borough is in Tier 3.

Leisure facilities at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub, Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub and Woolston Neighbourhood Hub will re-open on Wednesday 2nd December 2020. The offer varies across sites.

In line with Government guidance, customers can continue to travel to venues or amenities which are open, but should aim to reduce the number of journeys they make where possible.

The decision as to which facilities and services LiveWire will be available from Wednesday 2nd December 2020 is based on a combination of anticipated levels of customer demand for December - always traditionally lower - and the number of members who have reactivated their memberships. Membership levels have yet to return to the levels they were pre-pandemic, and this does impact on the range of sites and services we are able to restart.

The three Hub sites that are reopening offer the largest capacity for those customers who have reactivated their memberships.

We hope to reopen further leisure sites in January when demand is higher, and hopefully more people are able to reactivate their memberships. We thank all our members for their patience and support in these challenging times.

Facilities at Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Complex and Broomfields Leisure Centre will re-open in early 2021. LiveWire and Warrington Borough Council are currently consulting on the permanent closure of Culcheth Community Campus – see news item here: https://livewirewarrington.co.uk/news/2433-livewire-and-warrington-borough-council-announce-proposed-cost-saving-measures-aimed-at-protecting-leisure-and-library-services

- One-to-one coaching with adults using socially distanced practices

e current local restrictions in place in Warrington over 18's should now only take part in indoor activity with members of your own household or support bubble. This means that all Badminton, Squash and Indoor Tennis court hire must be carried out in accordance with this (there is an exemption to this if the activity is organised for the purposes of someone who has a disability taking part and an exemption for children’s activities).

Yes – all group exercise classes and gym slots can be paid for on a pay per activity basis – booked and paid for in advance online.

All activities are subject to restrictions appropriate to the tier that the borough is placed in at any given time and in line with Government and National Governing Body guidance.

Due to social distancing we will have to limit the number of people on site. In order to do this, we strongly recommend that you pre-book your visit in advance.

Customers are permitted to turn up for activities without prior booking but as all activities are subject to availability, we do strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid any disappointment on arrival at our sites.

We also ask members not to turn up and request access to sessions that are fully booked unless a place has been reserved in advance.

We reserve the right to revert to pre-bookings only, should we feel it is in the best interests of customers and staff.

Customers who do not book in advance will be required to register their chosen activity at the reception counter with a member of staff.

Booking will be available via the LiveWire website and App using your username and password seven days in advance. It is however important that you initially register for the Online service and we have your current email address registered on our system as this will act as verification, along with your membership card number.  We have prepared this flowchart to help you through the booking process.

There will be no shower or changing facilities available until further notice for our leisure members. Some facilities will be available for our pool users.

For all swimming sessions, we ask that you come ‘swim ready’ which is arriving with your swimming costume under your clothes and showering poolside before you enter the pool. Changing rooms will not be available for lane swimming prior to a session, except for a family swim session where families will be allocated a group changing cubicle.

For lane swimming, members will be asked to walk straight to poolside, where they will be asked to place their clothes and belongings in a tub which will be left on poolside during their swim. Lockers will not be in use.

Following a swimming session, poolside showers will be available for a quick rinse if necessary, we would like to encourage swimmers to shower at home prior to swim. Limited showers will be available on poolside and changing room cubicles will be in use for you to get dried and changed.  Showers in the changing rooms themselves will not be available for use.

Changing rooms will be cleaned regularly in between sessions.

There will be limited lockers available for short-term use at Great Sankey, Woolston and Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.

Yes, a limited number of toilets will be open at each Hub site and subject to an enhanced cleaning schedule.

We have implemented a range of measures to help keep customers and staff safe. These include a contactless check-in process, new one-way systems around parts of the buildings and new exit routes in place. Social distancing will be adhered to in all areas including reception, gym areas and group exercise classes, including redistribution of gym equipment to allow for social distancing. Enhanced deep cleaning schedules have been established, including all equipment, and hand sanitiser will be available for customers and staff.

All activities are subject to restrictions appropriate to the tier that the borough is placed in at any given time and in line with Government and National Governing Body guidance.

You may wish to familiarise yourself with the new equipment layout and floorplans at each site prior to arrival:

Gym sessions at our Hub sites have now been extended to at least 120 minutes. You will be able to move freely between the designated Fitness Suite spaces during your booked session although the customer journey is slightly different at each site so you may wish to familiarise yourself with the new equipment layout and floorplans prior to arrival – please click HERE

PLEASE NOTE: At Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub, in order to accommodate the needs of the High School and their current requirement for indoor space, a small part of the gym offer (Fitness Suite 2) has been temporarily relocated from the Sports Hall to Studio 2 on the ground floor. Customers will still have access to an extended Fitness Suite 1 offer (which now includes the main gym space on the first floor, along with the adjoining viewing gallery) and Fitness Suite 3 (previously known as studio 1, on the ground floor).

Following a positive response to our initial programme, additional classes have been added to the group exercise timetable at Orford and Great Sankey and are available to book now. The updated timetable can be found on our website.

All activities are subject to restrictions appropriate to the tier that the borough is placed in at any given time and in line with Government and National Governing Body guidance.

Please note, members attending Pilates or Yoga are required to bring their own mat.

We have created an all-new timetable made up of a variety of classes and instructors across our sites, and in line with expected demand.

However, with regret, Group Fitness classes are suspended whilst the borough is in Tier 3. All members are able to access a wide selection of workouts and virtual classes, both as live streams and on-demand via the LiveWire@Home platform – and even more classes will be added to the schedule during this period.

We hope to further develop our timetable offering (without compromising safety) in line with member demand, and of course whilst continuing to adhere to government guidelines.

Customers can only book a maximum of 2 activities per day: 2 classes, 2 gym slots, or 1 of each.

All activities are subject to restrictions appropriate to the tier that the borough is placed in at any given time and in line with Government and National Governing Body guidance.

The standard fee for each group fitness class is £4.75 and £6.25 for a gym session (adults). 11-15 year olds are able to access the gym with a paying adult for a reduced price of £3.65. Reduced prices also apply for Saver and Saver Concession memberships.

Yes, we have launched a new virtual membership called LiveWire@Home.

LiveWire@Home is available on the LiveWire App and gives you access to a combination of live streamed classes and an archive of On Demand workouts.

The new LiveWire@Home platform is included at no extra cost for our currently active Select Monthly and Annual Members – and for all others it is available as stand-alone chargeable service and can be accessed for just £5.99 per month.

We do offer seasonal outdoor classes. LiveWire will be scheduling a number of outdoor classes at selected sites to help customers stay on track with their fitness goals.

Yes, these are regular, weekly classes and so are included in memberships or available to Pay & Play.

The AGPs at Great Sankey and Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hubs are available to hire for block booking customers only at this stage. No casual, pay-as-you-play bookings are currently available.

Those members who have reactivated their memberships can access the outdoor courts at no additional charge in line with their membership terms. All other users (so Starter & Saver members and Select members still on suspend) are welcome but will need to pay the applicable casual fees. Pre-booking is required.

We have not yet confirmed a date for when the crèche will be re-opening.

The water fountains will be out of use upon reopening at all sites. Vending machines will be available for use, in line with social distancing. Subway based inside Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub is not planning to re-open immediately.

Members from the same household are permitted to share equipment.

https://www.badmintonengland.co.uk/return-to-play/

Court hire is included in your membership for those people who have reactivated their membership.  All other users (so Starter & Saver members and Select members still on suspend) are welcome but will need to pay the applicable casual fees.

Staff will be available to direct you and, if required, designated queue lines will be clearly marked. You will be manually checked-in by a member of staff. The self-check-in machines are temporarily not in use.

As per Government guidance all our customers are now required to wear face coverings inside all LiveWire buildings.

Face coverings are mandatory from entry to the building and throughout the customer journey including all internal queuing areas (not external) and when spectating activities within the building (e.g. swimming lessons).

The normal exemptions as stipulated by Government apply in terms of those who do not need to wear face coverings for example those with disabilities or certain health conditions, such as respiratory or cognitive impairments that makes it difficult for them to wear a face covering.

Face coverings can be removed when entering an activity space (e.g. gym, studio, poolside) for the duration of the activity.

You do not need to wear a face covering whilst in the gym or during a group exercise class but must do so if moving between separate activity spaces during your visit.

The toning tables will not be available for use at the point of re-opening Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Complex. There are a number of factors we have to consider before it is possible to fully re-open our buildings, including site-specific practicalities of maintaining social distancing and creating a safe journey for all of our customers. We regularly review the possible re-introduction of additional activities and facilities as part of on-going process and so we will update these FAQs accordingly alongside communicating the message to our members and the wider community once there are any further updates to report.

Yes. Lifts are available for use where needed, especially for people with disabilities and parents with prams and small children. Use of lifts are limited to one person at a time and/or one family at a time.

We are liaising with block bookers regarding their sessions and hope to welcome back as many clubs and organisations as is possible at the point of re-opening our Hub sites.
