JOB TITLE: Library Assistant
Location: Warrington Library or Padgate Library
Weekly Hours: Warrington 4.5 hrs ( 9 hrs every other weekend – see rota). Padgate 3.5 hrs – every Saturday 9.30-1.00pm
Rate of pay: Warrington Library role -£2,070.00 – £2,199.00. Padgate Library role – £1,610.00 – £1,710.00 per annum. (National Minimum Wage £10.18 for age 21-22 an National Living Wage £10.42 for age 23 and over)

We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and flexible individuals to join our frontline team at Warrington Library and Padgate Library.
Library Assistants support customers with their library and information needs including assisting them in the use of technology; specific duties are the issue and return of library items, handling cash and dealing with enquiries.
In addition, you will be required to sort and shelve books, ensuring that the collection is kept tidy and well-maintained. You will also be required to support and deliver various events and activities within the library setting and as part of our outreach programme.
You will have excellent customer service skills, be a good communicator and have a genuine passion for reading and libraries. As LiveWire is a health and wellbeing company, you will also be expected to have a keen interest in this subject area.
