Job Title: Head Swim Coach – Performance and Development
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £31,502.00 – £34,803.00

LiveWire Warrington CIC are looking to recruit a full time Head Swim Coach to deliver their performance swim squad programme.
Working in partnership with Warriors of Warrington Swimming Club, LiveWire offers a performance swimming pathway for County, Regional and National level swimmers across the local Warrington community with an aim to support all swimmers to reach their full potential.
LiveWire are looking for an experienced, motivational and supportive coach to lead the delivery of the performance swimming programme and support the ongoing success of Warriors of Warrington on a regional, national and international level.
The pathway through from Learn to Swim is an important area of focus for LiveWire to ensure the success of the performance swim squads, with the successful candidate expected to link with LiveWire’s wider Aquatics Team to ensure a strong recruitment pathway through to competitive swimming. They will also be responsible for the planning and delivery of the performance programme along with the welfare of all swimmers.
Key skills required by a successful candidate are:
- Experience in line management and able to support a team of coaches and mentor volunteers
- Effective communication skills to support with building relationships with members, parents, colleagues and external partners.
- Good organisation and planning skills to support with the administrative responsibilities of the role
- Being fair, supportive and approachable as a coach and manager
- Understanding of the Aquatics Pathway, Talent ID and performance swim pathways
Ideally the Head Coach will hold a valid NRASTC Pool Safety qualification, with a commitment to attend regular ongoing training provided by LiveWire.
In addition to the main role of Head Coach with LiveWire for the Performance Swim Programme a further opportunity would be on offer via Warriors of Warrington to become their Head Coach from a competition perspective. This role will include attendance at agreed galas, administration, and team selection. This position will attract a further remuneration package from Warriors consisting of £5,000+expenses.
