Job Title: Engagement & Reading Librarian
Contract Type: Permanent part time 20 hours per week
Location: Woolston Neighbourhood Hub
Salary: £11,697 – £13,295 pa
LiveWire’s Library Service aims to transform people’s lives through promoting literacy and a love of reading, helping people develop skills for jobs and independence, improving health and wellbeing and facilitating participation in cultural and literary activities.
As part of the town’s strategy Transforming Warrington’s Public Libraries: Our Strategy for 2019-2022, we have a clear vision of what we want the future library service to look like for our residents. The Engagement & Reading Librarian will be instrumental in the delivery of modern, effective and efficient library service in line with the strategy.
We are looking for people who are passionate about the value of reading and who will encourage and support informal learning. You must have a genuine commitment to equality and diversty.
It is essential that applicants have a recognised Library Qualification or be actively working towards the qualification.
