 Hours: 37 hours per week

 Salary: £23,273.00 – £26,287.00                    

 Contract Type: Permanent    

            LiveWire is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the operational team at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub as a Duty Manager.

At LiveWire, Duty Managers are referred to as a Lead LiveWire Advisors and manage the day to day operation of a leisure facility ensuring that staff resources are used effectively and efficiently, and customer needs are met.

Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub is a large, modern multi-purpose building providing integrated leisure and library services.

Candidates should have experience of managing staff, an understanding and experience of running a large and multi-use building; they should also be able to demonstrate a full appreciation of the LiveWire integrated offer. In addition, the successful candidates will, ideally have pool plant knowledge and experience of managing a facility that includes a swimming pool.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate supervisory experience preferably gained in the leisure industry and experience of supervising a swimming pool operation is desirable.  Applicants will be expected to have an up to date working knowledge of health & safety and have a proven track record of managing risk.

The ability to effectively manage and motivate a team is required in this role as is the ability to plan and prioritise workloads. Individuals must be able to drive and monitor the sale of memberships and other re-saleable items. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain partnerships are essential especially with regard to LiveWire’s integration agenda

It is also important that applicants can demonstrate their ability to establish and develop relationships with key partners in order to deliver positive outcomes.

A flexible approach to working hours is essential including shift work at evenings and weekends and Bank Holidays.
