We Roar exhibition now open at Warrington Central Library

LiveWire Libraries is proud to announce that the powerful and thought-provoking exhibition ‘We Roar’ is now open at Warrington Central Library, running throughout October 2025.

This compelling collection of prison poetry and artwork—featuring voices from both the UK and US—is touring libraries and museums nationwide until 2026. Now in Warrington, the exhibition offers a rare and moving insight into the lives, thoughts, and hopes of individuals within the prison system.

Through poetry and visual art, We Roar explores themes of identity, resilience, and transformation, aiming to challenge perceptions and spark meaningful conversations.

The exhibition launched on Saturday 4 October, with a special event featuring artist and curator Faye Claridge, who introduced the collection and guided attendees through selected works. The exhibition remains open for the rest of the month, and visitors are welcome to drop in at any time during library opening hours.

Cllr Jean Flaherty, Deputy Leader and cabinet member for communities, culture and leisure, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome We Roar to Warrington Library as part of its national tour. This powerful exhibition offers a unique opportunity for our community to engage with voices and stories that are often unheard. Libraries are places of learning, reflection and connection, and hosting We Roar reinforces their role in bringing thought-provoking and inspiring experiences to the heart of our towns.”
